Here are a pictures from our Ragnar experience. I wanted to share them.
Our team name was the Toe Jammers, we got to decorate our Vans, sadly it all washed off in the rain within minutes of use decorating the vans.
From my previous two posts its quite obvious that I participated in the Ragnar Relay. Its is a 36 hour run that takes place at different times of year all over the country. This particular race started in New Haven, CT and finished on Harvard Campus in Cambridge, MA. In all the race was about 190 miles and involved 12 runners. We ran constantly without stopping, which means that somebody on our team was running constantly from the time we started until we got to Boston.
I finished my second leg about an hour ago. My legs are really starting to express their dislike for distance running. About two miles in I was certain that I was not going to be able to finish. My uncle leon has told me that runs don’t start until after 4 miles, and this was certainly the case on this run. After about 4 miles I was not hurting as bad. I really don’t know how I am going to pull off another 5 mile run but I don’t have to think about that yet. Now I just to focus on getting my team to our checkpoint and trying to get some sleep.
